Description of our house
[
![]() ]
We live in a home built in 1926. We have remodeled the kitchen, added a new bathroom upstairs and redone the livingroom and diningroom. We have a deck in the backyard and grow vegetables in boxes in the front yard. The house is typical for Portland...lots of beautiful woodwork. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a queen bed on the first floor, a king bed in an upstairs bedroom, and an upstairs bedroom with twin beds. Full bathrooms on both floors. The kitchen is an eat-in kitchen with new appliances. It is an inviting, comfortable home.

Our neighborhood is close to downtown Portland, but very quiet with wonderful neighbors. There are nearby parks, we are close to transportation and grocery stores. Portland is less than 4 hours from Seattle, less than 7 hours from Vancouver, B.C. It is less than 2 hours from Mt. Hood and the Pacific Ocean. Oregon has deserts, mountains, fossil beds, hot springs, hiking, camping, fishing. Portland has the largest in city park in the USA and the largest private bookstore which is world famous...Powell's. Restaurants are outstanding here, and in the summer there are wonderful farmer's markets throughout the city. Many activities occur during the summer in a downtown outdoor plaza. Something about ourselves

We are retired. My husband, Tom, worked for the US Forest Service and I am a retired physician. I have lived in our home for 38 years. We love to travel and most recently have been to Vietnam and South America. We go camping often, and have camping gear here for anyone who would like to use it. Three of our grown children live in the Portland area and would be able to tell you about places to go when you are here. ![]()
