Very quiet golf community. Home is located 5 minutes to Historic Downtown Wilmington. Very active nightlife, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars/clubs. I highly recommend taking one of the water tours, paddle boat rides,dinner cruises, haunted pub crawls or a nice leisurely guided horse drawn carriage tour.
A short 15 minutes away is Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach and Fort Fisher State Park. If you have a 4WD vehicle you can purchase a day pass for $12, which allows you to drive on the beach to get away from the crowds. We have 2 dogs that love the beach, we usually get to fort fisher around sunrise and walk for an hour each way to collect shells, starfish or just watch the porpoise play.
Take a day trip on the NC Ferry System to Southport, or Bald Head Island. Just over an hour away is Myrtle Beach, SC where you can find and abundance of world class Golf Courses, shows, shopping, restaurants and beaches.
There are plenty of areas to Kayak, we would also be willing to give you access to our 2 kayaks.

My wife and myself are both professionals, whom have recently become "empty nesters". We are looking forward to the opportunity to travel.
