Our beach house is on the beautiful "outer banks" of North Carolina. The island is connected on each end by bridges, one at Morehead City and the other to Swansboro. Our home is not a rental and in our family for over 30 years. It is a comfortable home with all you need for a great coastal vacation. We have a jeep that can be driven locally (if you can drive a "stick shift") and even on the beach during fishing season! We also have bikes and beach gear. We are on second row with direct beach access across the street and nice views of the ocean from our decks and screened porch. The front yard is completly enclosed by a concrete fence if you have a small pet. In the rear, a 2 car garage and ample room for your small boat on a trailer. Rentals for kayaks, surfboards,jet skis and other beach toys are available and can be delivered to you when you arrive.

Emerald Isle is a very small village on the island with many interesting things to do. The beach is never very crowded and perfect for swimming, surfing, fishing, and relaxing. We also have miles of bike trails here on the island. We are within walking distance to the city municipal complex with workout facility, aerobics, tennis and indoor courts for basketball and other activities. Golf courses are just minutes away. Inshore and offshore fishing charters are available and sightseeing/dolphin watch cruises are popular too.There are numerous restaurants serving NC seafood and other local fare. There are a few bars and clubs but no casinos or large venues. Emerald Isle is very family oriented. Something about ourselves
