My home is located in a new, modern building with a 24 hour doorman, security cameras, rooftop lounge/garden with a BBQ grill and beautiful views of Manhattan. In addition, the building has a fitness center and a laundry area with washers and dryers on the top floor.
It is a spacious 1 bedroom with a balcony, new kitchen and appliances, and a clean bathroom. I have one double bed, a futon couch, and an air mattress for additional travelers. NYC has has it all. Nightlife, museums, restaurants, shopping, sports, Broadway shows, parks, and even the beach is only a short distance away.
Transportation is abundant near my building with taxis driving directly in front of the building at all hours. The ride to Manhattan is less than 2 minutes.
Alternatively, the metro/subway station is located 1/2 block from my home. There are several lines that stop there for more access to various parts of the city. There is also a bus stop located 1/2 block away.
There is a bike shop to rent bikes nearby as well.
I'm next to the 59th Street-Queensboro bridge which has a walking/bike lane.
You can also take day trips to the famous Hamptons or Montauk areas on Long Island, go to the shopping outlets, take a wine tour, or drive an hour north for a day of hiking in the Catskill mountains.
There are buses and trains with regular schedules for day trips. There are also car rental agencies.
