My studio apartment is quiet, cute, and comfortable for a single or cozy for a couple. It's located in a 100+ year-old brownstone in a great Upper West Side neighborhood -- a half block from Riverside Park and three blocks from the 72nd Street express subway station. The unit of approx. 325 sq. ft. (30 sq. meters) is the parlor room on the building's 2nd floor; up two small flights of stairs. It has 12 ft. ceilings and a loft that can be used for sleeping, kitchen with stove/oven and a refrigerator but no microwave, bathroom with tub/shower combo, wi-fi and computer nook with printer, 32" flat screen TV, washer and dryer in the basement. The space has passed the test of a professional feng shui consultant in most respects and offers a very pleasant experience for visitors and sleepover guests alike.

There are many cafes, restaurants, grocery/gourmet stores, fashion/homegoods shops, and other types of shops located very close to the apartment, and many of the city's most exciting cultural venues (American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center) are within easy walking distance. Myriad transportation options are just outside the door as well. ![]() Something about ourselves

I'm a single woman, age 60+ but young in spirit, with a passion for independent travel and meeting new people. After traveling mostly to Europe and staying mostly in B&B's, I've enjoyed expanding my horizons through home exchange. I can offer my space year-round to others from around the world who are interested in the best that New York City living has to offer. In the past two years, I've completed more than a dozen wonderful home swaps -- in Spain (Barcelona [2], San Sebastian, Madrid); Mexico (San Miguel de Allende [2]); France (Paris [2], Arles}; and Italy (Florence, Venice). And I have "credits" in Amsterdam, London, and Rio yet to complete, from homeforexchange.com visitors who have stayed in my home. Looking forward to new adventures in 2013 and beyond! ![]()
