Description of our house

My home is in a historic loft building in the West Village. It is a two floor apartment (duplex), furnished primarily with primitive antiques. There is a very large bright bedroom downstairs, next to the bath and exit. Upstairs is the eat in kitchen, small eating area, sitting area,two bedrooms- one with a single antique iron bed, the other with double bed, and my artist studio- which on one side of the upstairs, behind a curtain, and is not part of the exchange. The apartment is extremely large for Manhattan, and has very tall ceilings, making it seem even more spacious. There is a doorman, laundry room, and elevator in the building. The apt. is my family home, as well as my workspace, and feels a little like being in the country- but you are in Manhattan!

My building is right across from all the activities of the Riverpark in the summer,(biking, roller-blading, jogging, movies, fairs, etc.) and close to the subways, Chelsea, Soho and the rest of Greenwich Village. A bus one block away runs up to the Museums on the Upper East side. My area is loaded with quaint and wonderful cafes. It is beautiful and safe- I think it is the best in the city. I am a female artist. The apt. is where my children and I lived. Now I work there, and they visit. I have a dog and a cat. My loving cat stays during trades. I have lived in New Mexico, and Mexico, and the apt shows that influence- filled with folk art, paintings, and rustic furniture.
