Park Slope is a neighborhood in the western section of Brooklyn. In December 2006, Natural Home magazine named Park Slope one of America's ten best neighborhoods based on criteria including parks, green spaces and neighborhood gathering spaces; farmer's markets and community gardens; public transportation and locally-owned businesses; and environmental and social policy. There are several subway lines that run into Manhattan (2,3,B,Q and F) which is only a 10 minute ride away. Park Slope is roughly bounded by Prospect Park which has the 2nd largest museum in the Unites States, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Prospect Park Zoo and Carosel. The park is 1/3 the size of Central Park. Prospect Park is considered Olmsted and Vaux masterpiece. Every type of cuisine is offered in the neighborhood's restaurants. Park Slope conists of historic brownstones from the Victorian Era. To view neighborhood pictures: http://www.nyc-architecture.com

We are Chris and Christa, a married couple with a 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter. We are both professionals (Real Estate Developer and Architect) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have done 2 home exchanges before and have had wonderful experiences. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the US.
