My apartment is classicly furnished along with a romantic and contemporary ambiance. It has a gracious entry foyer with an armoire holding a high speed internet computer. My kitchen was recently renovated with classic style wood cabinets and all stainless steel appliances. Dishwasher, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, and, of course, Refrigerator and Oven/Stove. Grantie Counters and Porcelain Tile Floor. There is a separate dining area with a custom cabinet housing a surprise: Washer/Dryer! The living room is romantically furnished with an enclosed TV/Stereo Cabinet. The sofa could double as a bed for a child or 1 adult. It does not open, but instead has ultra-firm seating. The bedroom is furnished French country style with another TV in an armoire. Queen Size bed with fine linens and wonderful bedding. A romantic area! The bathroom is original with new sink and lighting. It is in excellent condition. I have Wood Floors with area rugs. The building was constructed in 1940. It is a clean and well-kept building with a security entrance. So, the apartment features high ceilings and pre-WW II details. The neighbors are friendly and quiet.

My street is also known as Bliss Street, located in an area called Sunnyside, Queens. It is 15 minutes by subway or bus to Midtown Manhattan. It is a cheap taxi fare to Midtown. The immediate neighborhood feautures all sorts of multi-ethnic restaurants and European food stores. It is a quieter ( but not quiet ) area to come home to after a wonderful day and/or night in Manhattan. So, there is convenient transportation to all the museums, restaurants, tourist attractions, and shopping that our wonderful city offers. Something about ourselves

I am a mature family woman who most of all enjoys traveling. I work part-time in real estate. I take advantage of all the activities New York offers: movies, plays, museums, restaurants and shopping. I enjoy meeting new people, love the outdoors and visiting art museums when I travel. This will be my fifth home exchange. I am presently looking for a home exchange for my extended family for two weeks during the last two weeks of July. I study Spanish, and plan on visiting Spain in August to attend Spanish immersion courses. I have done a similar programs in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Barriloche, Barcelona and Madrid. I am flexible and can do a non-simultaneous exchange as well as a simultaneious one.
