Description of our house
Our home will offer an oasis for relaxed fun following your exciting, yet exhausting day trips to all the sights our area has to offer: NYC, Atlantic City and Cape May beaches, to name a few obvious attractions. Our town is home to a "Premium Designer Shopping Outlet" with over 160 stores, 10 minutes away. Since our exchanges will be scheduled during the summer months, you will enjoy the tranquility and beauty of our new in-ground swimming pool, expansive patio and grassy areas, lush landscaping, and private fenced property. If children are in your party, there's lots of room to play and our large yard is equipped with a swing set, slide and fully enclosed 13’ trampoline. There is an outdoor grill with two side burners for stovetop cooking, and outdoor dining for eight. The expansive patio has many seating areas. And, yes, there is a house as well! Our large private home will accommodate a family of 6 in 4 bedrooms. You enter the homes main level, which consists of a fully equipped country kitchen; casually elegant dining area; and living room with baby grand piano. The next level up has three bedrooms which share one bathroom with tub/shower in hall. Two bedrooms have a single bed, the third bedroom two single beds. The top level of home has a master bedroom (king size bed)and a bathroom with tub/shower. Below the main level is the large family room with fireplace, bathroom with toilet/sink, laundry room with washing machine & dryer, and door to the patio/pool area

Our neighborhoodWe live in desirable Monmouth County, NJ on a safe and quiet tree lined street. We have a very chic downtown, Red Bank, within 5 minutes. Red Bank has many shops/boutiques, fine restaurants, casual bistros, and lots of antique shops. Red Bank is also a very artsy town with many galleries and two Theatres with cultural venues (plays and concerts). Red Bank also has a river front park where you will find outdoor entertainment nightly in the summer. We are within 15 minutes of miles and miles of white sand beaches. All our beaches are beautiful, but they all have there own personality. I love Avon by the Sea for it’s elegant boardwalk and beach overlooking a canal where we watch the parade of boats pass through from the river to the Atlantic Ocean; I love Ocean Grove for it’s Victorian Houses & quaint Main Street with it’s “old town” feel; I love our giant 24” pizza’s in Belmar where my six year old eats a slice of pizza bigger than she is; I love the natural beauty of Sandy Hook, a sliver of land between the bay and the ocean; and the list goes on and on to Atlantic City and Cape May. Monmouth County is also home to more thoroughbred horses than the state of Kentucky (even though Kentucky hosts the renowned Kentucky Derby). A few minutes from our house and you are in prime horse farm country, in a town aptly named “Colts Neck”. It’s a beautiful place to take a drive. There's so much more, but no more space to write.....Please feel free to contact me.

Something about ourselvesWe are a family of 5 that travel together. I am Kerry (45, Mom and Manager of family Landscape Construction Company), husband Angelo (56, Dad/Engineer/Teacher), Matteo (11, loves pizza/pasta/Space & Science),Amelia (6, loves boys, stuffed animals & gymnastics, and Pokemon!), and Grandma Linda (66, loves art, writing, her 4 children, 6 grandchildren & traveling to foreign lands! We all do! We think home exchange provides the ultimate opportunity to experience other cultures. During the summer of 2009 we will be living in Europe (Southern Spain, South West France, The Normandy Coast and Paris) for six weeks! We are so exited! It will be a combination of 2 home exchanges, a rental and some hotels & B&B's scattered in between. We can't wait! In the summer of 2010 we would like to do a home exchange in the USA; and then in the summer of 2011 we plan to look for several home exchanges in Italy.
