Our home away from home is on Venice Island, Venice, Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico. Our condo is in a small, quiet complex of only 20 units. On ground level it features a lovely living room with a very comfortable leather sofa and ottoman, a separate chair, TV, sound system and electric piano. The dining area with table and four (4) chairs overlooks the pool. We have a full kitchen with dishwasher, range, refrigerator with freezer. Two bedrooms: Master with queen-size bed and desk; Guest with two (2) twin-size beds. Lovely Asian carpets throughout. Bathroom has walk-in shower, vanity with sink and WC. Laundry with washers and dryers on ground level close to our unit. The pool is just outside our door with lounging chairs and chaises along with a barbeque.

We are located on Venice Island and steps to the beach and town. Venice Island is a beautifully planned community along the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway with Italianate architecture. Definitely outdoor living with miles of accessible uncrowded sandy beaches with plentiful shells and fossilized sharks teeth for gathering. There are many excellent outdoor cafes and restaurants, wonderful shopping, numerous parks and bike trails with one along the Intercoastal Waterway, and grand old Banyon trees lining the roadways. Every morning community yoga is offered on the beach. Sailing, charter fishing, paragliding, wind surfing, golfing, kayaking, and diving are all available. We are a retired professional couple that enjoy traveling, especially in Europe. From May through October/November we live on the beautiful Oregon coast. Recently we have been enjoying winter months in Venice, Florida. We feel we have the best of both worlds. We still wish to travel to Europe in the Spring and/or Fall. We are very low key, and we will treat your home as our own.
