Quiet Paradise
Enjoy my quiet, tropical two bedroom, two bath home in Key West's historic district. I am located in a residential area only a few blocks from the Seaport, shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries and historic sights. Key West's main shopping street, Duval Street, is a 6 block walk or bike ride. The picturesque Key West Cemetery is across the street.

My home: Two sets of French doors open from the secluded pool area into the large open living/dining/kitchen area. This room has high ceilings, large windows and plenty of light and breezes. A state-of-the-art entertainment system is installed. The dining area seats 6. The kitchen is small but fully equipped and opens into the living space.

Another set of French doors opens into a study with a couch and TV. I can set up 2 comfortable single twin beds (inflatable with an electric pump) if you choose to use this room as a second bedroom. A bathroom with tub and shower adjoins this bedroom.

The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an adjoining bathroom with shower.

A patio surrounds the pool area and has a barbecue grill and tables and chairs for your morning coffee, sunbathing or outside dining. The front gate can be opened to the street if you wish to spend the evenings on the patio watching the dog-walkers, bikers and walkers on our narrow one-way lane.

My home is a no-smoking, no pets house.

Two bicycles are available, a woman's and a girl's. A car is not necessary in Key West. Key West is only 13 km -- 8 square miles --in area. However, 4-door Lexus (automatic transmission) is available if you want to explore other islands and beaches.

Key West is the southernmost point in the continental United States. It is a friendly small town with many shops, galleries, fine-dining and casual restaurants, bars and sights. We have an extensive literary tradition, an active live theater season and a lively music and entertainment scene.

Go snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, bike around the island, spend days at the beach or join a sunset sailing trip. You can spend lively afternoons and evenings at Key West's friendly bars and restaurants or cook fresh fish at home and enjoy our home and pool. Participate in our many festivals, craft fairs and boat races.

Visit Hemingway's home and favorite drinking spots, the Truman White House, the Butterfly Conservatory, the Shipwreck Museum and take a ghost tour through the cemetery, a trolley tour through Key West's neighborhoods and major attractions. Explore our Civil War era forts and snorkel at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West.

I am 10 minutes from the Key West Airport and 3.5 hours from Miami and the Miami airport.
