Within two miles of our home are many shops, bakeries and restaurants, including those serving cuisine representative of the many Hispanic influences on South Florida, including Cuban, Peruvian and Columbian restaurants. From our home, you can walk to several restaurants, as well as a local grocery store and wine and spirits retailer. Zoo Miami, Gold Coast Railroad Museum, and Wings Over Miami Air Museum are a short 10 minute drive from our home. Tamiami Airport is the closest airport at 3 miles away, where you can sky dive or take a helicopter tour. Two public golf courses, Calusa Country Club and Palmetto Golf course, which includes a mini-golf course, are 10 minutes away. The closest shopping mall is The Falls, an outdoor mall with a picturesque waterfall theme. Two outlet malls - Dolphin Mall and Florida Keys Outlet Center - are a short drive from our home.
Something about ourselves
We are Charles and Lisa, Miami natives, who are interested in traveling the world. We have a dog, a 7 year old beagle named Lily. We are both librarians for the local public library system. We have experienced two successful home exchanges and are excited to continue traveling the world this way. We expect to make travel arrangements at least six months in advance. However, our jobs make travel dates flexible and we are open to any offer anywhere.
