Beinvenidos a Miami! Experience everything from the endangered wetlands of the Everglades to the art deco architecture on South Beach from our home.
We offer a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath townhome in the Devonaire-Kendall suburb of Miami. Our home is two stories, with bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor. The master bedroom is furnished with a pillow-top queen sized bed, the second bedroom has a full size Ikea sofa bed that is comfortable for two people, and the third bedroom serves as an office and library. An optional air mattress can be set up for an additional sleeping location. Downstairs, our living room has a 54" flat screen television, leather reclining sofas and lounge chair. Our kitchen has a double oven with four burner stovetop, microwave/convection oven, and all the bakeware and cookware you would need to create a gourmet dinner. Outside, we have a small garden with paved terrace, table and chairs. A charcoal barbeque is available.
Around the corner from our home (less than 500 feet away) is one of our community's pool areas. The pool is gated and is surrounded by chaise lounges, tables with umbrellas and chairs, and has bathroom facilities. Adjacent to the pool is the outdoor play area for children. The jungle gym has a slide and is set on non-slip rubber flooring. Beinvenidos a Miami! From our home, you can walk to several restaurants, as well as a local grocery store and wine and spirits retailer. Zoo Miami, Gold Coast Railroad Museum, and Wings Over Miami Air Museum are a short 10 minute drive from our home. Tamiami Airport is the closest airport at 3 miles away, where you can sky dive or take a helicopter tour. Two public golf courses, Calusa Country Club and Palmetto Golf course, which includes a mini-golf course, are 10 minutes away. We are Charles and Lisa, Miami natives, who are interested in traveling the world. We have a dog, a 7 year old beagle named Lily. We are both librarians for the local public library system. We have experienced two successful home exchanges and are excited to continue traveling the world this way. We expect to make travel arrangements at least six months in advance. However, our jobs make travel dates flexible and we are open to any offer anywhere.
Please note that exchanges with cat owners may be difficult as Charles is allergic. We are open to winter dates for those seeking "someplace sunny and warm."
