We purchased our Florida vacation home in the Bradenton/Sarasota area in 2005. Our home is newly furnished, completely redecorated with new carpets and laminate flooring in all rooms. The large modern kitchen is fully equipped and has a separate breakfast nook which overlooks the lake full of wildlife, birds, fish and even turtles. The master bedroom is large with an adjoining garden bathroom. The guest bedroom has a double bed with separate bathroom. The dining and living room is bright and spaceous with large screen TV and DVD. The Floridian Lanai room overlooks the lake and is perfect for relaxing,reading or entertaining. The workroom has a washer/dryer. The large carport has rattan furniture to sit in the shade, the shed with golf, tennis, bicycles,etc. barbecue, and our car, which is optional. The Community Clubhouse and swimming pool is directly across from our home and hosts many events, which are open for everyone to enjoy. There is a work-out room, hot tub, library, tennis courts and sports room. We live in a secure community and, being "Snowbirds" from Canada,our home is available for non-simultaneous exchange from early May to late Oct..every year..so choose your dates!

We are close to beautiful beaches, local and major shopping malls, every type of restaurant, art galleries and museums, nature and safari parks, and the gorgeous Anna Maria Island with its white powder sand beaches, numerous restaurants and spectacular sunsets, simply paradise! The island is popular for para-sailing, kayaking and surfing in the warm emerald green waters. If you golf, there are over 20 golf courses within 10 mile radius, and from May to Oct the green fees are upto 50% off! The tennis court is 30 yards from our front door, no fees! If you fish, then take a charter into the Gulf of Mexico and catch your largest fish ever, guaranteed! Walking the nature trails and parks is relaxing with a picnic under the palm trees, or on the beach. Sarasota is 10 miles south, via Long Boat Key, to St Armonds Circle with its fashion shops, fine dining, the famous Ringling Circus and Art Museum,the inter-coastal waters for sailing, and Siesta Keys for swimming and sun. Tampa is 15 miles north, with the incredible Busch Gardens; NFL/NHL games, and the cruise ship terminal to the Caribbean, Mexico or Panama Canal. Orlando is an easy 2 hour drive for the fun and entertainment of Disneyworld and much, much more. Our home is close to 3 airports; Tampa, Sarasota and Clearwater/St Petersburg. Hello, we are Canadian Eh! Ann and Bernard. We have travelled extensively during our careers and now retired we are yearning for more, so have joined the home exchange program. Bernard was born in England, ex REME and an engineer; Ann is a creative type and hails from the Marketing, Sales and Advertising industries. Our passion is travelling, sports, tennis, golf, walking beaches, meeting people, dancing, enjoying good food and social activities. We have been exchanging since 2007 and enjoyed six successful exchanges to Italy; Switzerland and the UK. Florida is the Sunshine State in the USofA, so if you want "somewhere sunny and warm" we have the perfect location and a comfortable home for your pleasure and vacation.
