Description of our house
This is a really nice beachfront duplex townhouse at Cape San Blas on the St. Joe Penninsula in Port St. Joe, Florida. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a full private bath and sundeck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed, a full private bath, and a view of St. Joe Bay. The kitchen is fully stocked. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, fishing, scalloping, boating, kayaking, beach walking, sunsets, and more that the Florida panhandle has to offer. The beach is pristine with white sand and clear blue water. We're 2 hours southwest of Tallahassee or 1 hour east of Panama City. A convenience store and fishing tackle shop (gas, beer, wine, beach clothing, foods, etc.)are across the street. A nice restaurant is only 2 miles away.

Our neighborhoodThe Barefoot Trace Beach community is a small owners' complex of 12 duplex townhomes on the Gulf of Mexico. The views and sunsets are fabulous. We are only a few miles from St. Joe State Park, 25 miles to historic Appalachicola, and 2 miles to gourmet dining. Local seafoods include great shrimp, blue crabs, speckled trout, redfish, grouper, smoked mullet, and bay scallops. The townhouse has three decks overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. One deck is screened, the others are open. Cape San Blas was recently voted the USA's #1 beach with its sugar-white sands and large dunes.

Something about ourselvesWe are retired college professors from Columbus, Georgia. Polly was chair of teacher education and I (Mike) was in Parks and Recreation Management. Our interests include sightseeing, museums, gardening, cooking, reading, and local culture. We've exchanged 3 times and are looking forward for three more.
