Our house is in a small town suburb named Takoma Park, just over the DC line. We are close to the Washington Metro and about 20 minutes from downtown on the red line. Our home is comfortable, interesting and recently renovated. For kids and athletic adults, we now have a large trampoline in the backyard--this aquisition was inspired by our last home exchange.

The neighborhood is friendly with easy access to two bike/walking paths, playgrounds, etc. Our neighbors across the street are also members of Homes for Exchange and are happy to assist fellow members visiting us. We have done two home exchange in the past and really enjoyed it. Our little town is interesting with lots of local character incl. farmers' market, food co-op, small downtown shopping area, parks, bike paths, and easy access to DC. Something about ourselves

We are Paul and Laura and we have two daughters, Nesha and Lena ages 13 and 9--yes the photos is several years ago. We love traveling and have taken our daughters on 3 vacations outside the states. Before they were born we traveled around the world for a year. Consequently, we are enthusiastic hosts and are longstanding members of SERVAS, as international homestay organization. So we are excited to explore home exchange as another alternative form of travel. We would love to open are home to those who wish to explore the DC area. Paul is an art historian who works at a local private art museum and Laura is an organization development specialist for a consulting firm. ![]()
