Our spacious two floor condo offers magnificent views of the Rockie Mountains. Upon retirement we bought our second home for the skiing, but have found the summers are most wonderful with lovely mountain streams, lakes, hiking and biking trails. It's a place to relax or enjoy music concerts such as wine and jazz, beer and bluegrass or art festivals. There is horsebackriding, kayaking, sailing, tennis or golf during the summer months. Winter brings a warm fire and a good book or winter activities including world class downhill or cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, sleigh rides.
Our condo offers a large fully equipped kitchen with a lovely dining area facing the National Forest and the Rocky Mountains. A big livingroom with a fireplace has a picture window that looks out on the mountains, sliding glass doors lead to a deck that overlooks the ski slopes. Two large bedrooms on the lower level each have a full bath. One bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds which can be made into a king bed, a sofa bed and sitting area. On the upper level with the living, dining and kitchen there is also a half bath (W/C) and wet bar. We love our place and hope you will enjoy being here. Keystone is located in Summit County about and hour and a half by shuttle or car from the Denver airport. Summit County consists of 4 small villages - Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne each with their own distinct personalities. The area was first settled by the Ute Indians and later by silver and gold miners. Each village has small museums that tell of their individual history's. There are quaint shops and a wide selection of places to eat.
Keystone has a small lake which you can see from our deck, a lovely river with fly fishing, bike and hiking paths. There are 2 golf courses, a riding stable and Keystone Ski Resort. Lake Dillon is 8K (5 miles) from Keystone where you can sail, kayak, ride the water taxi in the summer and go ice board sailing in the winter. Our building is secure and well-maintained with a hot tub on the first floor and access to 2 off-site swimming pools, one outdoors and one inside. John and I, Barbara, retired about 10 years ago. I have a Ph.D in Organizational Behavior and had a consulting practice. I also taught college both here and in Germany. After retiring from a career in the energy industry, John accepted a position as Executive Director of a non-profit energy trade group. We also have a home in the Houston area which we could make available if you are interested.
We have four children between us and four grandsons. We enjoy skiing, hiking, reading and traveling/exploring other counties and cultures. And we dearly love our mountain home and would be glad to share it with you. John and I, Barbara, retired about 10 years ago. I have a Ph.D in Organizational Behavior and had a consulting practice.
