We have an attached townhouse with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths: The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a full bathroom en suite. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and access to the other full bathroom. A third bedroom is set up as an office/library, but could accommodate a single bed (for a 5th person) if necessary. The master bedroom window faces west, with a view of the Pacific Ocean, and has a private deck. Our home is on a west-facing bluff, and has cool ocean breezes all day long. A light & airy kitchen downstairs has all the modern conveniences, including a dishwasher & microwave. There is also a full sized washer/dryer & an outdoor gas BBQ. Our sunny living room has a fireplace, a 46 inch flat screen TV, with cable and DVD player. Also available is a computer with high speed internet access. There is a very pretty covered patio, and a spacious backyard with an outdoor fire pit. All together, you will have everything you need to to enjoy a fabulous time in Southern California!

Cardiff by the Sea is a small beach community in coastal northern San Diego county. Ours is a quiet neighborhood, 1 1/2 miles from several beautiful public beaches. Cardiff is an eclectic community of surfers, upscale homes, and unique attitudes. There are a variety of restaurants nearby, an excellent public library, and lots of shopping. There are excellent public golf courses in the area, including the famous Torrey Pines golf course, home of the 2008 U.S. Open. The La Costa Resort and Spa (golf & tennis) is ten minutes from our front door. Our summers are very pleasant: the temperature usually ranges from 70-75F (21-24C), and it almost never rains. We are 25 minutes from the Gaslamp District, exciting heart of San Diego; commuter trains pick up at the nearby station and go downtown and back throughout the day. Balboa Park, near downtown, is packed with excellent museums, galleries, and restaurants. It is a short drive to the world-famous San Diego Zoo, the Safari Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, Legoland, and other attractions. There is access to all water sports: water/jet skiing, motor boating, sailing, fishing, surfing, wind/kite surfing, diving, & swimming. The Del Mar racetrack (horses) is 5 minutes away: race season usually opens in mid-July and runs through mid-September. Lee is a high school history teacher who is interested in astronomy, current events, and likes to read. Kelli teaches 2nd grade and dances ballet when she is not shopping for shoes. We are non-smokers, and would prefer no smoking in the home. We have traveled all over the United States, but we are also open to overseas adventures. We have two friendly, neutered, indoor-only cats named Darby and Madeline. They require very little attention, but are very good-natured and will make you feel right at home (we can arrange for a neighbor to come in and take care of them if you prefer).
