We have a lovely, modern home in Palo Alto, California, just 50 km south of San Francisco. Our home was completely remodeled by a very artistic architect. The house has lovely curves, a lot of glass, and natural materials: a copper barrel roof, slate floors and chimney. A local artist incorporated her metal sculptures into the exterior of the home and gate. The well-equipped kitchen is one of the best rooms in the house because Ram's passion is cooking. It looks out at the pool and garden. The master bath has a sauna and a wonderful, large slate shower with a large window to the garden. The house is very open with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have a grand piano in the house. We have a DSL internet connection, wireless capability, and cable TV. We have a second home up in the Sierra Mountains with a semi-private lake. We also have a large estate with a 11,000 sq. ft. home in Bangalore, India.

Palo Alto is a nice university town (Stanford University). The downtown area is full of good restaurants and theatres. There are many nice cafes for sitting outside and enjoying your coffee. There are many galleries. Tennis courts are located everywhere. Palo Alto has a local opera and symphony, along with many other music groups. We are only 45 minutes from San Francisco, the most beautiful city in the United States. Something about ourselves

We are Ram and Denise. Ram is a pharmaceutical and biotech executive and entrepreneur. He is now running his own biotech company. Before that he was a professor at UCSF Medical School. I, Denise, am a lawyer. I am corporate counsel of a software company. We both love to cook and drink good wine, but Ram is the real gourmet. We love sports and outdoor activities. We do yoga daily. I used to be a tournament tennis player. We love theater, music, good books. We love to travel. Our first house exchange was a beautiful estate outside of Orvieto, and we loved it! We have exchanged many, many times. We like the hospitality exchange also. It'a a good way to meet more people in the area. We have many close friends here that would be happy to show you around or help you out in any way.
