Our end unit townhouse is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is approximately 1250 square feet. With two bedrooms upstairs and an office downstairs, it feels larger and more spacious than the square footage would suggest.
We have a swimming pool in our complex and a highly rated public golf course less than 2 miles from our house. There is access to hiking and mountain biking trails at the end of our complex. A dirt trail takes you up over the hill through a large avocado grove for an easy/moderate bike to the golf course and more trails at Happy Camp Canyon Park.
We have a King size bed in the master bedroom and a bunk bed for the boys directly across the hall.
We have an office downstairs that can also be used as a bedroom if desired. Our end unit townhouse is exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is approximately 1250 square feet. We live in Moorpark - home of America's Teaching Zoo. The Moorpark College Zoo is a short walk from our home. We are conveniently located halfway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. An hour drive from Disneyland, 30 minutes from Magic Mountain and 45 minutes from Universal Studios. One hour from LAX. Major communities of Thousand Oaks , Westlake Village and Agoura are 15 minutes to the south. While centrally located for LA and Santa Barbara, Moorpark has a semi-rural, country feel that is quieter and more relaxed than our urban LA county neighbors. There are farms nearby that have produce stands, and patrons can tour the fields and pick produce.
We are also a short 30 minute drive from Malibu and the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway.
This is a great central location for any southern California activity. Keep in mind that this is So Cal; people mostly drive to destinations here and public transportation, while available, is not the most convenient way to get to LA or Orange County destinations. Access to a car will make any trip much faster. and more convenient. That said, it is a two mile local bus ride or walk to Moorpark Metrolink/Amtrak train station which can take you to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles on a 50 minute train ride, or a one hour train ride up the beautiful Gold Coast to Santa Barbara.

We are Diana and Geoff Karna. I am a forty something stay-at-home mom to two good-natured, happy, funny boys, Ben (5) and Gavin (2). Geoff works for the local electric company. We would love to show the boys the world and make some friends in the process. Both boys have already flown a number of times as I am originally from Canada. They have both proven to be enthusiastic and hardy travellers. We would love to exchange with people who also have kids as our home is geared for little ones.
