Where we want to go
Description of our house
Our home was completely remodeled in 2008. As you enter the through the main doorway, you are greeted by a large, open living space looking out onto Mt Helix. The living room has a gas fireplace (TV, VCR, stereo/CD player) and adjoins the dining room. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is a dream with granite countertops, gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher plus a small dining area overlooking the garden. From there you can either walk into the sunny reading room or walk out the sliding glass doors to the picnic table in the back yard. The master bedroom with all the conveniences you expect is spacious and looks out on a small orchard. The second bedroom, music room, and home office round out the house proper. However, you do not want to miss having coffee or lunches on the bistro table set in the fountain area. For those late afternoon times of meditation, the glider overlooking the orchard is as relaxing as it gets.

Something about ourselves
We are an active retired couple in our early sixties. Community work is our passion and we both volunteer in many capacities--Paula as a dietitian and David as a financial planner helping people achieve family and legacy goals. We enjoy being outdoors, hiking, exploring, and eating great food. Traveling has always been a part of our life and our best memories revolve around settling into one spot and making day trips to explore the surrounding area. Learning how to live like the locals has enriched our lives immensely. Not having done a home exchange before, we look forward to trying what sounds like a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see ours. We are a conscientious couple and would treat your home with the same respect we treat our own.
