This neighborhood/district is called the Outer Sunset and this house is located 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean beach and the Great Highway Linear Park (which runs the length of the Sunset District of San Francisco, nearly 2 miles). Great area for walking, bicycling, jogging, plus other neighborhood sights and sounds include surfers walking with their surfboards to the ocean and skateboard riders.
Access to Golden Gate Park is just 3 blocks away, from this (west end) of the park you can walk, 12 blocks to the Buffalo Paddock where a small herd of bison roam. The new De Young Museum of Art with a spectacular building designed by Herzog & de Meuron and San Francisco's Fong & Chan Architects, re-opened in 2005. And the new Academy of Sciences designed by Renzo Piano, re-opened in 2008. The Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake w/boat rentals, the Arboretum and the Rose Garden are all located in the middle of Golden Gate Park.
Access to all of SF via the N Judah, (MUNI streetcar line) is 1 block away and costs approximately $2 dollars US (for a 4 hour time period). This transportation line takes 60 minutes to reach the heart of downtown. Yelp* says there is something magical about waiting for an N Judah streetcar. (*Yelp, Inc. is a San Francisco based company that operates yelp.com, a social network for users to read reviews and search local businesses, restaurants and professionals. Yelp software developers choose the name "Yelp" as a contraction of the "Yellow Pages", section of the phonebook).
We're happy to exchange vehicles, but, for getting around town you will not need a car. Also, we have excellent restaurants of all kinds and all within a 5 block radius you'll find about a dozen restaurants and grocery markets. Note: You have access all of SF and the Bay Area via public transportation 1) San Francisco MUNI: streetcars, cable cars and bus lines and 2) BART: (Bay Area Rapid Transit)! In addition, I have a 2006 Scion xA, 4 door hatchback, if you also wish an auto exchange, as well.
