Just a magic private location on 3.7 acres, just outside Oakhurst California. Long warm summer days to visit the Yosemite National Park and all the other places of interest in the Sierra Mountains. Some snow at our elevation, snow skiing at Badger Pass in the Park at 7000 feet elevation, about a 1 hour drive into the snow play area, December into April. The Park itself is open year round. The quiet glass of the local red on the deck in the evening is the only way to go, maybe watch the deer walk through the property. Many other things, 2 local golf courses, horseback riding, nice dinning in town, local movie theater, live shows, even a nearby large casino. Your nearest airport is Fresno International about 50 minute drive.It is just a magic area for the outdoors person. The September time frame is the best.

The Sierra Mountains stretch from just north of LA about 500 miles finishing up in the Sacremento region of California. 4 hours from the nearest beach on the Pacific Ocean, Same drive to San Fransisco and the Bay area. LA is 5 hours on the freeways, Las Vegas is about 7 hours, drive through Death Valley and the Grand Canyon is only another couple of hours. The Gold Rush Country which Oahurst is part of goes back 160 years. Today modern miners from the big city frequently find little gold gems in the dried up creeks... plenty of good fishing everywhere. California has everything to offer and being just 8 miles from the center of the state everything is accessable. It is magic. Something about ourselves

I retired from the engineering world 25years ago. Now spend most of my time putting on (off-road) trail races in California, about 12 times a year. Love my rock and roll music, play golf when I am able and enjoy most evenings with a glass of red... California offers some good stuff and cheap! My running career is nearly over, but to put on my running shoes on and drive to nearby Bass Lake and run 8 or 10 miles is magic. Keep life simple and enjoy every minute and I do. BAZ
