We are located down a dead end alley that we are converting to a paseo - our front door is 30 ft/10 meters from the back of a popular night club - another club, three restaurants and a plating shop also back on the alley. There is private parking, but you really don't need a car. Once in a while the alley can be congested while a band unloads instruments in the afternoons - fun to watch - and sometimes you might hear voices when the bars closes and the band leaves. Not for you if you're a very light sleeper - and a garbage truck pick up trash 3 times a week in the morning. There are also a total of 72 steps in the house - so you should be in shape. However in less than a three minute walk you will pass nine different restaurants. But then there are many more in the next block. The house is located in the middle of the block next to the Holiday Inn with car rentals a block away. You can reach the beach at Stearns Whart in 11 minutes walking down State Street (the main drag) or walk 12 minutes north to the County Court House which is a National Historic Monument. The area between the two is the center of it all: the excitement, the beauty and the people.

We are a retired couple and active sailors having lived on our sailboat for 14 years prior to undertaking the project of creating this home. We have traveled widely and enjoyed living in three countries and we know we are blessed to now live in this award winning work of art - which this house is - and will have to be treated as such. We are new at exchange idea and would probably prefer non-simultaneous.
