Or just click on http://www.youtube.com We are located down an alley - our front door is 30 ft/10 meters from the back of a popular night club - another club, three restaurants and a plating shop also back on the alley. There is private parking, but you really don't need a car. Once in a while the alley can be congested while a band unloads instruments in the afternoons - fun to watch - and sometimes you might hear voices when the bars closes and the band leaves. Not for you if you're a very light sleeper - and a garbage truck pick up trash 3 times a week in the morning. However in less than a three minute walk you will pass nine different restaurants. But then there are many more in the next block. The house is located in the middle of the block next to the Holiday Inn Express with car rentals a block away. Stearn's Wharf and the beach are a 10 minutes walk or walk 12 minutes north to the County Court House which is a National Historic Monument. The area between the two is the center of it all: the excitement, beauty and people.

We are a retired couple and active sailors having lived on our sailboat 14 years prior to undertaking the project of creating this home. We have traveled widely and enjoyed living in three countries and we know we are blessed to live in Santa Barbara and now in this award winning work of art - which this house is - and will have to be treated as such. We are new at exchanges and would prefer non-simultaneous.
