This home is in a much sought after resort in a quiet area of Palm Springs. There are 5 lighted tennis courts, sports courts, 8 swimming pools and 9 spa pools and it is very safe, quiet and secure since this is a gated community where many residents live year round. There is almost no vehicle traffic and many people bike around the resort. It's a true California desert oasis filled with old trees and masses of flowers with walking paths throughout the grounds. Our home is open, sunny, nicely and newly decorated and uncluttered, lots of closet space. The bathrooms and kitchen have granite countertops. There are 2 good sized bedrooms each with a queen size bed and 2 full bathrooms, so it's perfect for 2 couples. Most of the flooring is beautiful Mexican quarry tile, nice and cool. There is a small garden with lawn off one of the patios and a misting system in case it gets really really hot (which it does in July, August & Sept.). One of the pools and spa are right outside our wall, behind our massive lemon tree. This home is in a much sought after resort in a quiet area of Palm Springs. Palm Springs has been famous for decades as a vacation wonderland. Many Hollywood stars have homes here. There are more golf courses per square mile then anywhere else and the reknown Indian Wells Tennis Garden is very nearby. We love to hike in the Indian Canyons and at Joshua Tree National Park. There are hundreds of fine restaurants and all kinds of clubs catering to any and all lifestyles. There are lovely casinos with shows, dining and gambling, should you wish to try your luck. Wonderful spas Art galleries and museums, especially the Palm Springs Museum should not be missed. There are outdoor art shows several times a month in various parks. There is horseback riding along desert trails and polo at the Indio Polo Grounds. Shopping is fantastic with the very upscale shops in next door Palm Desert and the huge designer outlets nearby. Be sure to take in the famous Palm Springs Follies, it's a hoot. Palm Springs is less then 2 hours drive from Anaheim and Disneyland and also the beaches along the Southern California coast and San Diego. Los Angeles is also less then 2 hours away. We are happily retired and enjoy the outdoors, swimming, walking, good food ,wine,& our dogs
Our winter home would be available any time we are not using it.
An exchange to either of our homes could be a non simultaneous exchange.
We are looking for something in Fall of 2012.
We may drive our RV to Nova Scotia in summer 2012 and would love to stay in coastal Maine or Quebec (Eastern Townships, around North Hatley or Massawippi or Magog) for a week . There would need to be room to park a 27 ft x 9 1/2 ft RV so an urban area in town would probably not work for us.
We have 2 corgi dogs who travel with us and are very well behaved seasoned travelers. They can sleep in their crates or in the RV if you wish.
An exchange to either of our homes (Palm Springs or Victoria BC) would not have to be simultaneous.
Our lovely Palm Springs resort home is available After May 5 2012 through October 2012 except for 4 days in July.
We also have a larger home on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada, a 30 minute drive from Victoria. It is across from the water, Pat Bay and 15 minutes from Butchart Gardens. We would be willing to exchange for it if the dates can be arranged. We are happily retired and enjoy the outdoors, swimming, walking, good food ,wine,& our dogs
