Description of our house

We are located halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, 1 hour drive from Carmel/Monterey, 3 hours from Yosemite National Park (serious hiking), 4 hours from Lake Tahoe and skiing (in the winter), 7 hours from Los Angeles. Our 3 bedroom house is now 1 bedroom, 1 library with bed, and private office with sofabed and an additional sofabed in the TV/Stereo room. There are 2 1/2 baths. The living room has a fireplace as does the pool table room. Our kitchen is for serious cooks, it is well designed. There us a media room with large tv and stereo. The back yard has gardens and a black bottom pool, with 6 tennis courts (key for the courts provided) and a jogging path in the park immediately behind our yard.

We are situated in Menlo Park, halfway between San Francisco San Jose, 1 mile from Stanford University Ours is a secluded neighborhood with children and people of all ages. We are near many restaurants, shops, golf courses, and parks. It is 1/2 hour to the Pacific Ocean in the town of Half Moon Bay -- where there is a 15 mile paved oceanside bike path. You can also take bicycles on the train to San Francisco and ride along the bay in the city for many miles. We have the best year-round weather in the U.S.A. In the summer there are free concerts near our house 5 nights a week -- many different types of music! Something about ourselves

We are Jim and Susan with 4 grown children. We are both retired from the airlines and we never get our fill of traveling, especially to Italy. anywhere in Italy. We have just completed 2 exchanges, 2 weeks in biarritz, wonderful!!! 1 month in Tuscany. This year, 2011, we are just finishing up two exchanges in France. Now we would really like to concentrate on Italy.
