Description of our house

Built in 2006, it is a new two story home. The living area is open space - the modern and well equipped kitchen has a breakfast nook, and there is a separate living and dining area. The master bedroom (Queen bed) and full bathroom are on the first floor, together with a den and half bathroom. The other two bedrooms are on the second floor, one with a queen bed and the second bedroom with a full bed. There is a full bathroom also with tub/ shower. There is a deck leading from all rooms on the first floor.

Pine Mountain Lake is a wooded gated communlty and has many attractions http://www.pinemountainlake.com a lake for boating and swimming in the warm weather, access to tennis, golf + restaurant, swimming pool, stables and a small airport. Nearby is the village of Groveland with restaurants and small shops - a folksy place. We are about 20 miles from the north entrance of Yosemite National park, 25 miles from the bustling town of Sonora, and Colombia, once known as "Gem of the Southern Mines" - center of the gold rush of 1849. We are both retired - Don an engineer and Eryl a teacher. Originally from the United Kingdom we have lived in Silicon Valley, California for 33 years. We have travelled extensively but now have the time to discover more places in the USA and new destinations. Ideally we would like to exchange homes with other retired couples.
