Colorfully decorated 2-bedroom house on a quiet street. Hardwood floors. One bedroom has a full bed, the other a twin bed; both bedrooms have desks. The gardener comes once a week, the house cleaner twice a month. The landscaped back yard has a wooden deck and sun umbrella and is fully fenced in.

The house is in the Sunset Park area of Santa Monica, a safe and settled neighborhood. Local attractions: the Getty museum, Santa Monica pier on the Pacific, Venice boardwalk, Frank Gehry's Disney Hall, Los Angeles Museum of Arts, ocean restaurants, beaches, the Santa Monica Promenade for clothes shopping and people watching, a farmer's market every Saturday one block away. I have just retired from teaching in the English Department at the University of California, Los Angeles. I am a critic, a magazine editor (LANA TURNER: a journal of poetry and opinion), and a poet and am working on my first novel. I like travel, new scenes, new people, art museums. A view is a plus.
