Description of our house
We offer a lovely home just a five minute walk to the shores of Lake Tahoe (one of the most beautiful spots on earth - not just we say that). It has 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and the third has two twin beds. The living, dining and kitchen all open to each other and there's a fireplace in the center of that space. There's a large deck which we enjoy in the warm weather months ("warm" is usually not higher than 75F). The house is on 3 levels with 2 bedrooms (and connecting half bath) on the top level, and the third bedroom on the lower level. Down the stairs from the deck is a small fenced area so you don't have to worry about little ones wandering off.

Our neighborhoodSituated just a few miles from Tahoe City and Kings Beach, we are very convenient to shopping and dining. The outdoor activities are almost endless depending on the season (and if we have a "good" snow season). If you like to gamble, there are several casinos about 10 minutes away and the bigger South Shore area about 45 minutes. We're a short two blocks to the lake where there is public access. We are an hour's drive from Reno and about 4 hours to San Francisco.

Something about ourselvesWe are Bob and Catherine, retired and in our early 60s. We also have a listing for our apartment in Rio (#17860) and we have a lot of flexibility for travel. We aren't just looking for longer trips. We could easily swap with someone with a home in San Francisco, where we lived for 20 years. We've completed three exchanges and have more planned for 2008 and 2009. We are in the process of planning an exchange in SW France for Sept. or Oct. 2009. In conjunction with that, we'd love to spend a couple of weeks in Barcelona or perhaps Italy.
