Great neighborhood - so much to see and do within walking distance. There're 3 eateries across the street, with more restaurants, cafes, bakeries, salons and shops starting a block away. Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of Sciences (designed by Renzo Piano), the DeYoung Museum (designed by Meuron & Herzog), Botanical Gardens are a 5-10 minute walk, and UCSF Medical Center is right up the street. With the MUNI rail line a block away, it's 20 minutes to Union Square (department stores), downtown, and 30 min. to the Embarcadero (farmer's market and ferry to Sausalito), or take it westbound to Ocean Beach (15 min). Other attractions in the region: Muir Woods National Park (home of the redwoods) - 45 min. north, Napa Valley - 1 hour north, Silicon Valley - 1 hour south by car. Berkeley and Oakland are accessible via train (40 min).

I'm a graphic designer, recently widowed, with a 9-year old girl and a 6-year old boy. We also have a dog, but she'll be staying with friends during our absence. My partner and I loved to travel together and with the kids, and I hope to continue instilling a similar passion in our kids.
