Description of our house

The Thai Villa "Ginger" is built in Thai-style. Importance has been attached to privacy as well as to classy interior furnishings. Usage of natural materials has also been emphasized. The villa is made of a ground floor built with thai bricks, providing a spaciously laid out terrace, a living-room/bedroom and a bath-room. The floor on this level are paved with terracotta tiles. Over a wooden staircase you get to the first floor, which is completely made of Teak-wood and has the typical Thai roof, two big terraces and a pavillion. The villa is placed in a big tropical garden, and just 300m from two beautiful beaches. The house is part of the http://www.goodtime-resort.com. You can use the beautiful and romantic swimming pool which is just 50 meters away. The house have 2,5 bed-rooms, two king-size beds and one double kid-bed, two A/C, DVD-player,a small kitchen with a fridge, one little stove and hot water for shower. Beautiful sea-view.

Koh Mak, located between Koh Chang and Koh Kood: Not only divers and snorkelers will feel very comfortable on Koh Mak, but also lovers of lonely beaches edged with palms. About 800 people live here. Beside the 10,000 palms you will find a temple, a clinic, a primary school, three fishing villages, a few little shops, 25 resorts and 2 diving bases. Although the island is quite unknown, it provides a good infrastructure and connection to the main-land, the new airport of Trad is 30 km away from the pier of Laem Ngob. Flying time to Bangkok is only 50 minutes. You can fly with http://www.bangkokair.com. Alternativly, one of the private coaches will bring you to Trat or Laem Ngop, taking about 4 hours on the newly built road. There are ferry and speedboat connections to Koh Mak. The island has 24 hour electric power supply and also phone and Internet connection (Wireless LAN optional). We are a married couple with two children: our daughter (Lilith) is 8 years old and our son (Bennet) is 7 years old. We like to travel and know, how to help ourselfs (easy to handle, also the kids). We moved from Germany to Thailand three years ago, my husband is half Thai/German and our kids just 25% Thai :-). Our base is in Thailand now (Bangkok, Koh Mak and Chiang Mai).
