PLEASE NOTE - OUR HOME IN THAILAND IS FOR 2 ADULTS ONLY.
We love our Thailand home, where we enjoy spending the winter months. The house is just 5 years old and sits in attractive gardens with it's own private saltwater swimming pool on a small development of 60 houses. The lively town of Hua Hin and the beaches are just 6 kms away. We would recommend that you hire a car to enable you to make the most of your stay.
The house has 100 sq metres of living space and is light and airy. All the floors are tiled, all windows and doors are fitted with fly screens and both bedrooms and living room are fitted with air conditioning.
A covered patio area with relaxing bamboo recliners and outdoor dining table and chairs leads through patio doors to the living/dining room which has 2 comfy sofas, coffee table, dining table and chairs. Both bedrooms have 5' double beds, bedside tables, wardrobe and dressing table. Both bathrooms are fully tiled, have hot water showers, WC and vanity unit with wash basin. The kitchen has base units with marble worktops, a stainless steel sink, gas hob, electric kettle and toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
As there are just the 2 of us we prefer to exchange with another couple. Should we agree an exchange for more than 2 adults please note that both bedrooms will be sharing ONE bathroom.

Hua Hin is a lively seaside town on the Gulf of Thailand, 200 kms south of Bangkok. The town is lively with plenty of shops, markets and restaurants, whatever type of food you want to eat, you will find it here. Great choice of seafood and the Thai food is cheap and tasty. (we don't cook while we're there as it's nicer and cheaper to eat out). You'll find plenty to do if you want to see something of the local area, it's easy to get around either with a hire car (which we would strongly recommend) or on an organised trip. Hua Hin beach is long and sandy with plenty of sporting activities. A few kilometres out of town there are a number of other beaches which are quieter but which still offer good beachside refreshments.
For fishermen and golfers this is a great place to spend some time. Boat trips of sea fishing are readily available whilst on land there are 2 or 3 freshwater fishing lakes. And for golfers there are at least ten 18 hole courses within 20 mins of the house, the nearest is just 4 kms away.
Access to Bangkok is easy by either private taxi, coach, mini bus or train and the islands of the gulf of Thailand can also be easily reached from town. Also easily accessible for a day out are two national parks, Kang Krachang and Sam Roi Yot, well worth a visit.
Hua Hin is a friendly town and your holiday can be as quiet or as busy as you want it to be - there really is something there for everyone! We are Paul and Elaine, in our 50's and retired early from professional jobs (Paul in retail management and Elaine in financial management).
We are English but now live in France for 7 months of the year (spring to autumn) and then spend the 5 winter months at our home in Thailand. (our home in France is also available for exchange see Reference 40676)
We've spent the last few years working on our barn conversion in France and creating a garden there and are ready to take things a bit easier now and spend more time travelling and enjoying seeing more of the world and would consider most destinations.
PLEASE NOTE - WE DO NOT WISH TO EXCHANGE WITH EITHER THE USA OR AUSTRALIA.
In terms of dates and locations we're really pretty flexible and are mostly looking for exchanges in Europe or the UK between April and September.
We would be very interested to look at exchanges for weekends or short breaks in Bangkok or other locations within Thailand or in SE Asia between November and February.
