(FRANCAIS PLUS LOIN) Our traditional swiss chalet has 3 floors: on the 1st, a large living dining area and open kitchen, which makes for a convivial atmosphere. The 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor can each sleep 2 persons. There is also a spacious bedroom on the top floor, and a den. Outside, we enjoy doing barbeques and sipping wine while enjoying the majestic view of the mountains. FRANCAIS: Notre chalet a 3 étages: un grand salon-salle à manger et une cuisine bien équipée, ouverte. Les 3 ch à coucher sur l'étage ont des lits pour 2 personnes chacun. Il y a aussi une grande chambre à coucher sur la 2è étage et une autre pièce supplémentaire. Dehors,dans la belle saison, nous faisons les grillades tout en admirant la vue fabuleuse. Un endroit merveilleux pour apprécier un verre de vin en contemplant les montagnes!

Our neighborhood
Situated at 1000m altitude, in a small village in the valley of Nendaz, 10 min by car or bus from Sion (capital of Valais) and 10 min from the year-round resorts of Haute Nendaz and Veysonnaz. There are many activities in the area and visits to do (castles, museums, thermal baths, vineyards, shopping, sport activities, cable cars, aventure parks, walking, hiking, mountain biking..)Less than 2 hours from Geneva or Berne (Swiss capital) by highway, and also good train/bus connections. The bus stop for Haute Nendaz, Veysonnaz or Sion is very close. It's also idealy located for day trips to other parts of the Valais (Zermatt,Matterhorn, Montana, Sass Fee...). The Valais is known for it's sunny and warm climate - that's why it's also a famous wine growing area in the middle of the alps! FRANCAIS: Le chalet se trouve à 1000m d'altitude, au bord d'un petit village dans la vallée de Nendaz. Il est à 10 min par bus ou voiture de Sion et des stations touristiques de Haute Nendaz ou Veysonnaz . Le bus s'arrête à moins de 50m. de chez nous. Toute l'année il y a beaucoup d'activités et visites à faire dans la région (promenades, téléphériques, bains thermaux,vignobles, châteaux, musées, vélo de montagne, parc d'aventure, golf, shopping... Une location centrale,idéale pour faire des excursions en Valais ou ailleurs en suisse (moins de 2h de Genève et Berne). Le Valais a un microclimat ensoleilé et chaud et c'est la raison pourquoi il est connu aussi pour ses bons vins! Something about ourselves
We are a retired couple in our 60's. We like to travel with friends so generally would be 4 (2couples), preferably in the spring and fall for us. Exchange can be non-simultaneous. We want to exchange with non-smokers please. No pets, due to family allergies. In Aug -Sept 2010 we plan a trip to Canada. Areas around Ontario and Quebec interest us for that time. European propositions for other periods interest us also. . FRANCAIS: Nous sommes un couple à la retraite. Nous aimons voyager avec des amis donc sommes en général 4 à se déplacer, de préférence au printemps ou automne pour nous. L'échange peut être non-simultané. Nous souhaitons échanger avec des non-fumeurs,comme nous. Pas d'animaux svp. En août-sep 2010 nous envisageons un voyage au Canada et le US.
