My flat is on the ground, but far from the street, in a large house (beginning of the 20th century) of 6 flats.
Simple but practical, the flat include a large hall, a kitchen, a spacious bedroom and a cosy living room. Parquet, panelling, stained-glass window and high ceilings with mouldings make it really attractive.
The house is in town, in a quiet area, only a step to park, railway station and shops. My flat is on the ground, but far from the street, in a large house (beginning of the 20th century) of 6 flats.

La Chaux-de-fonds is a town of 38'000 inhabitants in the Jura Mountains, renowned for watchmaking industry. Thanks to the high altitude (1000 meters above sea level), the weather is usually clear and sunny.
Since 2009, La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle (neighbouring city) are on the UNESCO World Heritage List for the watchmaking town planning. It means especially a checkerboard town planning scheme.
Walking in the streets, you will discover treasures in Art nouveau style on the frontages or in staircases hidden behind the doors.
The architect Le Corbusier was born in the city and created several houses.
Out of the city, in the south (20 km), the city of Neuchâtel and the lake are perfect to stroll in the old town or to have a dip in the lake.
In the east, from the top of the Chasseral Mountain, you can look out on France on one side, and on the Alps on the other side and why not use a scooter to walk back down. In the same direction, the « Franches-Montagnes », a plateau covering an area of 200 square kilometers with pastures and fir trees are the paradise for hiking, riding, pony trekking and a lot of other outdoor activities.
It is easy to move with public transports.

I am a quiet and tidy librarian (30). I travel alone and would like to discover a place in Europe (in a city or in the country).
I like to take time to perceive how people live in other countries and not to run all day long to see all that is mentioned in the tourist guide. I made a first successful exchange this summer and I hope to do it again soon. I am a quiet and tidy librarian (30).
