Description of our house
Our home is modern, elegant, spacious and very comfortable, with all the usual amenities. There are 3 bedrooms (master bedroom that sleeps 2, plus two other bedrooms that sleep 1 person each), 3 bathrooms, a large living room with dining area, an office/study with sleeper sofa, a well-equipped kitchen with eating area and two balconies. The house is surrounded by trees and green areas and is very bright and sunny with nice views. We have two cable TVs with several English-language channels, a DVD player and a PC with broadband Internet connection. The balcony is great for relaxing in the sun and having a meal or a drink outdoors. We have friendly neighbors who speak English and can be of help if needed.

Our neighborhoodWe are located in a nice residential area a few steps from the United Nations European headquarters. The area is quiet, safe and peaceful. There is a swimming pool 2 blocks away, several good restaurants within a few minutes walk and lots of parks where you can picnic, go for a walk or relax. We have a bakery/tea room with excellent fresh croissants just down the street. You can walk to the lake or reach downtown in 10 minutes.

Something about ourselvesAlan is in his mid-50s and is a senior manager in an international organization. Claire is an administrative assistant at the Geneva University and is a jewelry creator in her free time. Our children Samuel and Gabriel are 12 and 10 and are very well behaved. We are non-smokers, neat, responsible and respectful of other people and their property. We have had eight home exchanges and feel this is a great way to experience other cultures.
