Our neighborhood High quality house in safe village, but close (20 km) to the capital Berne and next to the watch-manufaturing-city Biel-Bienne. Horse-riding 4 KM away. Very friendly neighbours. Our house has been totaly renovated end of 2005, is fully furnished (Cable TV with English stations, DVD, Broadband Internet Access etc), inside and outside fireplace. Very calm environment, but close to the city and its amenities and possiblities. Biel-Bienne is the only bilingual town in Switzerland (German/French) and the center of Swiss watch industry (Rolex, Swatch, Omega etc). Most of the people here speak german and french, a hugh number english, too. Some miles to our north, we have hills up to 1500 m. About 60 miles away the mountains are more than 4000 m high and offers a lot of world class ski resorts. Clean lakes (next is 8 km away), beautiful nature and historical culture are evident here. Most of the national major attractions and cities (Zurich, Basel, Lausanne, Interlaken, Geneva, Lucerne and captial Berne) can be reached easily in daily trips by car or train in 1-2 hours. Railway-station 1 kilometer away. Try out the fanstastic panoramic trains through the snow white Alps (Glacierexpress). Different Golf courses (6, 2x9 and 18 holes) 15 car-minutes away.
