Description of our house

The building is a double home and we own both. Normally we stay in the half overlooking the river Klaralven. Both homes are completely renovated although we have to fix some minor bits and pieces. The living room is very light as we have replaced the small old windows for huge windows and double opening doors. A terrace has been made around the building of just over 200m2. The view is spectacular, both in Summer and Winter. There are 2 aluminum Linder canoes (1 two seater and 1 three seater) and there are 2 mountain bikes. We also have a snow scooter (2 seater) and we may decide to include this in the deal if you have experience with driving a snow scooter. There is also a little fishing boat and an outboard engine. There is heating in the floor, a newly installed heat pump exchanger, completely new kitchen, all floors and walls are new, all electric wiring is new. Basically it's almost a new house and we are proud to have done 90% ourselves.

Höljes is a very small town with 1 shop, the Höljes Handel, which is the post-office, a supermarket, a general store and if they don't have what you desperately need Petr Larsson - the owner - is always prepared to assist you to get what you want. The river Klaralven splits the small town in 2 and we live on the West side of this river. There's a huge hydro-power dam about 8 kilometer upstream which can generate 130 megawatts power. The lake behind is is very suitable for fishing and canoeing. Höljes is very quiet town, so don't expect much of it. There is a restaurant annex motel, where you can have a nice meal or a drink. If you love nature, hiking, fishing, snow-scooters, berry picking, birds, biking or hunting, then you will feel at home here. Something about ourselves

We are Ans and Mark, we are in our late forties and we love to travel. We spent about half the year here in Sweden and half the year in The Netherlands (ID=1), were we have our primary home. Due to the fact that we have both homes we are quite flexible.
