Our house is a five bedroom house of some 250 m2. It was newly renovated. We most of all appreciate our kitchen, where we spend most of our time. In the summer we open up the sliding doors towards the water, to the outside sitting area. We often then have a barbecue watching all the boats pass by.
The garden is quite small, but has enough room if you want to play ball, and run around. We also have a large trampolin, a sandpit and lots of children's toys and games (including Wii). Our house is located in Danderyd a nice suburb of Stockholm. We are close to Mörby centrum subway station, and from there it takes 15 minutes before you reach central Stockholm. By car it takes less than 20 minutes. Even though we are so close to Stockholm, life in Danderyd is very relaxed with nature close by.
Our house is in a quiet neigbourhood. Right outside the house is the water of Edsviken that is connected with the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm. In our neighbourhood there is also 2 outdoor tenniscourts, childrens playground, nice walking and jogging trails. There are lots of large oaktrees and the forest is close by. A community swimmingpool is 800m away. In the winter you can go ice skating on the sea just outside the house and there is crosscountry ski tracks also on the lake and in the forest when enough snow!

We are a family of six. Henrik, 49 works in a bank, and likes to play tennis and golf (if he ever get the time) Åsa, 43 works at the hospital. She likes to dance and spend time with friends and family. We have four wonderful children, ages 12, 9, 7 and 3.
We try to spend as much time together as a family as possible. With all the childrens activites it's sometimes not so easy. In the winter we like to go skiing down hill or go ice skating on the lake right outside the house. In the summer we like to have friends over for a barbercue, we like to go boating, play soccer, and go biking. At the end of the summer we like to go blueberry picking and muschroom picking in the forest close by. We go swimming in the community pool just 800m away or in the sea.
We also like to travel a lot. We have had some wonderful vacations in France, Italy, Greece, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa and New Zeeland. (not saying that we wouldn't like to go there again) We have exchanged houses for two years now (with another exchange site Intervac) in Spain and France and really enjoyed this way of traveling!
