Description of our house

Our summerhome is a spacious 3-bedroom house with a heated swimming pool and a guesthouse. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, water heater and coffee maker. The living room has a double sofa bed which sleeps two grown-ups. There’s also a 32” TV with DVD. There are two bathrooms, one with heated ceramic floor and a shower and one with a shower, washing machine and dryer. Bedroom 1 has a kingsizebed and in this room is also a children’s bed. Bedroom 2 has a kingsizebed. Bedroom 3 has a bunkbed. A crib is available upon request. The guesthouse has a sofabed which is 140 cm’s wide. The house sleeps up to 10 people which makes it suitable for the large family or 2 families. The terrace is the heart of our house with direct access to the pool area. We have a 42” flatscreen TV with satellite channels on the terrace as well. This is the natural gathering place for family and friends during the day. It’s wonderful to spend the day around the pool - having breakfast while listening to the pigeons cooing in the trees nearby, take a plunge into the water, having a barbecue or just sipping a glass of wine in the sunset. There’s a wonderful garden around the house with a grass lawn. It’s suitable for kids to play in and we have many toys and games. We have bicycles for children, teenagers and grown-ups. It’s a family friendly neighbourhood with quiet streets. There are mainly summer houses in the area.

Skummeslöv is situated in the south end of Sweden’s longest beach between Halmstad and Båstad. We have about 900 metres to the sea where the water is shallow and the sunsets are amazing. Just by the beach, hidden in the sand dunes, is a heated salt water pool, open to the public. The town centre of Skummeslöv is 1 km’s away where you’ll find a well-sorted grocery shop, a bakery, some restaurants, minigolf-courses and tenniscourts. It’s close to Båstad, just 10 km’s away, and it’s possible to go by car or by bike. Båstad is a charming town, visited by lots of tourists in the summer to relax, play tennis & golf, party and to enjoy the wild and beautiful nature. Båstad is host to the Swedish Open tennis tournament. It’s wonderful driving around the peninsula and make stops along the way to buy local produced ecological delicatessen. There are plenty of golf courses around in the area, and within walking distance from our house there’s a 12-hole pay&play. Skummeslöv is situated between Sweden’s 2nd city Gothenburg (150 km north) and 3rd city Malmö (100 km south). Nearest larger airport is Copenhagen in Denmark (100 km). Something about ourselves

We are a family of 5. It’s Magnus, 47, who has a drilling & energy business and Monika, 43, who is a registered nurse. We have three daughters who are 13, 8 and 6 years old. We love to travel and to meet people from other countries. We are very tidy and have great respect for other people’s belongings.
