Ideally located in Puerto de Mazarron (Murcia, Spain), this apartment on the third floor with lift is only a hundred yards away from a long, sandy beach on the Mediterranean Sea. Other small, blue-flat, -some unspoiled- beaches (calas) are very handy. Residents have also free access to an indoor swimming pool, open daily during July and August. The apartment sleeps four persons, two in a double and two in a separate room with twin beds. It has a full bathroom (bidet included), a lovely kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, a washing-machine and all the essential cooking utensils. The living-room has two sofas and a TV set with DVD facilities. A large sliding-door leads to a 14m2 balcony with an impressive panoramic view over the Mazarron Bay. Private parking facilities inside the building are also provided.

With an average annual temperature of 22ºC, Puerto de Mazarron is a small but busy fishing place. It is credited to be one of the least unspoiled places in Spain for scuba diving. Golf facilities are within easy reach (10 min. drive) and it is a great place to discover and explore what has been called the Cornwall of Spain. Tourism is basically local throughout the year, although during Summer, the place is visited -never overcrowded- by people mostly from other parts of Spain. Places worth a visit are the cities of Murcia, Cartagena and Calasparra (one hour's drive), Lorca and Totana (about 30 min. drive) and further down (three hours' drive) Granada. The nearest international airport, San Javier, is 55 kms from Mazarrón and Alicante airport is less than one and a half hours' drive. Something about ourselves

I am currently an academic teaching at Murcia University. My partner, Reme, enjoys painting. We have grown-up children who do not live with us, although occasionally one of them may travel with us. We enjoy travelling and knowing people. So far we have swapped homes four times (Paris, Munich, Bridgnorth (UK) and Le Gua (near Grenoble), always with excellent results. So if you are yearning to sunbathe and to swim in warm waters from mid May to late October, this is your place. We are open to short swaps (weekends, Easter vacation, etc.)
