We'd like to offer a light and comfortable 3th floor apartment. Our flat has one bedroom, a kitchen with all the necessary domestic appliances, a spacious living-dining room, a study where there is a computer with broadband internet connection, a family bathroom and a shower room. We have a widescreen TV, DVD, CD player and a digital radio. There is heating and air conditioning. Our building has a 8-hour doorman everyday. The flat overlooks a large fenced, private garden with trees and flowers and a swimmingpool you can use either in winter or in summer. Our block of apartments is new (3 years old) and is located 2 minute walk from Pacifico metro station. It will take to you 15 minutes to get to the center of the city (only six stations). The tourist sites ? museums, galleries, pubs? are very near and the Atocha railway station is within 20 minutes walk. We also have some bus routes going into city for when you don't want to go by train. In the neighbourhood there are many shops, banks, several supermarkets, video/DVD rental, cafes and restaurants, so you don't have to go far.

We live in Madrid's predominantly residential district. We are a stroll away from Madrid's famous 'Golden Triangle of Art', consisting of the Prado, the Reina Sophia museums and the Thyssen art gallery. Madrid's central 'Retiro' park and Botanic gardens are close by too. That's not to mention theatres, cinemas, shops, jazz/rock/flamenco clubs and shows, outdoor 'terraza' and 'tapas' bars, restaurants and supermarkets, and a nightlife that you could wish for. You'll find it- all close at hand. Take a closer look here: http://www.madrid-tourist-guide.com Remember also that Madrid is the central hub of Spain's air, road and (high speed) rail networks so it is really easy to reach anywhere in the country quickly and comfortably. Day trips to surrounding towns such as Toledo, Segovia, Avila, El Escorial or Aranjuez are recommended. You are in the centre of Spain and with the High Spped Train you are in 2-3 hours in Cordoba or Seville too. Check this: http://gospain.about.com madriddaytrips.htm Something about ourselves

I'm Luis (47). I'm an engineer working for a multinational company. Angela, who is 40, is a teacher of art. We have both travelled extensively around Spain, Europe and beyond. So we're both used to travelling, to immersing ourselves in other cultures and to learning from other lifestyles. We are very careful people and we would greatly appreciate meeting people similar to us. ![]()
