Beautiful summer apartment for 4 people with stunning sea views in front line, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, galley kitchen, living-dining room, terrace with brilliant, extremely romantic lawn and barbecue, large breakfast terrace in the entrance area, living area is very stylish with Lecorbusier- and Mies van der Rohe furniture and Buddhist-style cabinets, large safe for laptops or similar, large Sony TV with satellite connection, electric heating, etc. Very quiet! However: 120 steps from the road down to the apartment, because very next to the sea! The quietness and the view are simply sensational! Fabulous sunrises and full moon nights guaranteed! Cala Llonga can be found resting along the East Coast of Ibiza, approximately 10km north of Ibiza Town and 5km south of Santa Eulalia.
It does not have a very extensive history having been nothing more than a small peaceful farming community, supported by local fishing, until the early 1970’s when it was sought out for development by a group of British businessmen. Over the last 35 years it has been transformed dramatically into a popular tourist resort. It is however accepted among locals that some 500 years ago the bay was used regularly by smugglers, who were no doubt attracted by the shelter and cover afforded by the small bay with it’s steep hills on either side.
While Ibiza is famed for it’s party atmosphere the appeal to regular visitors of Cala Llonga is that this small self contained resort has maintained the peaceful and tranquil nature of it’s past. As a result it has become a popular getaway for families and couples who want to enjoy the beauty of Ibiza without being exposed to the busy Ibiza nightlife. It is particularly popular among the British and has a distinct British feel to both the resort and the clientele, no doubt influenced by the British developers.
Of course being only 10km from Ibiza town and 5km from Santa Eulalia, there is still the opportunity to enjoy some tunes in the Ibiza nightclubs and dance the night away with the latest DJs who regularly frequent this popular Spanish island.
No doubt it was the beach that motivated the transformation of the town into a tourist hotspot. Cala Llonga boasts one of the largest beaches in Ibiza, being approximately 100 metres wide to the sea and 200 metres long.

I'm a 51 years old German architect and constructor coming to Ibiza since 1973, but decided to live on the island just two years ago.
