We own a flat in the most beautiful village of the Costa Brava, Calella de Palafrugell. It is 100 m2 large, with 3 double rooms,(for 6 persons) wc and bathroom, open kitchen and a living-dining room about 50 m2, and a balcony. A chimney is placed in the living room for the winter evenings. The apartment is well equipped with all facilities: dish washer, wash machine-drier, TV, DVD, games, parking place, etc. A little garden lies in front of the house.
A supermarket works during the summer season, just 300m. from our home.
The building has gorgeous views to the fields and the sea, and the neighborhood is quiet and nice. You can walk, ride a bicycle (there are 5 available) and practice all kind of sea sports and amusements. Just besides there is a lovely Botanic Garden -Jardí Botànic de Cap Roig- a delightful mediterranean garden. The nearest beach is Cala del Golfet, 5 min. walking from our home, a small wonderful little cove that remains virgin and unspoiled. Our place is perfectly situated to know the nicest beaches of the Costa Brava, as Cala del Crit, Cala Estreta, including the last non built big beach in the costa, Platja de Castell, a hidden paradise to discover. To the other side, the lively Calella de Palafrugell is a charming summer village, one of the most sought and exclusive places of the catalan costa. You will love the beaches, restaurants, shops, and so on. At the evening, a dinner by the sea, or simply a coffee will make you feel like in heaven. The center is a 5 min. drive from our place, or 15 min. walking by the sea.

Near Calella you'll have the a score of delightful spots of the Costa Brava: Begur, Pals Palamós, L'Estartit -a renowned diving center-, the archeological site of Empúries, whose beach is wonderful, all of them in a 30 min. distance by car. The region, called Empordanet, is known as the Spanish Toscana, with charming old stone villages as Pals, Peratallada, Torroella de Montgrí, Ullastret, etc.
Girona and Figueres are not far. Girona's airport is 30 min. away from Calella de Palafrugell.

We are a family of 5, Carlos, 50, classical languages teacher, Blanca, a civil servant, and our 3 children, Boga, Memiru and Meski, 16, 13, and 9, adopted in Ethiopia in the year 2004. We have had so many home exchanges that it is difficult to remember all of them, and they always resulted perfect. We love culture, walking, nature, and inspiring places. Our children are used to home exchanges, and are nice and respectful.
