A modern 2 bed first floor apartment in a block of 8 within a community of 24 flats. Entry phone and secure private allotted parking. Large well maintained communal swimming pool set in a shaded garden area. Each bedroom has two single beds and both have fitted wardrobes. Comfortable lounge/diner with a small balcony. Well fitted kitchen. Bathroom/WC with a bath and overhead shower. Portable electric radiators. Separate store with sunbeds etc. The appartment is not available for exchange during the months of July and August but is available for renting during that period.

![]() Our neighborhood
The flat is situated approx 300metres from the bay between the picturesque fishing villages of Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc both five minutes stroll along the coastal path. The beautiful unspoilt series of bays along this part of the northern Mediterranean coast are typically Spanish and the authorities have been very careful to avoid the overdevelopment that has happened in much of the rest of the Spain. There are many first class restaurants together with bars and cafes close by for the evening aperitive. The area is popular with the Spanish and in July and August it is very busy but in Spring and Autumn it is much quieter as is the flat and the community and is perhaps then ideal for a couple to 'get away'. Winter can be quite cold but can also have its own charm. The magnificent city of Barcelona is an hours drive away and Gerona 45 minutes. Figueras with the Dali museum is also 45 minutes away and the French border and Perpignan are within easy reach. There are a number of challenging golf courses within a few kilometres. Diving schools and other watersports are close by and there is some excellent walking on the cliff paths with spectacular views. Skiing in the Pyrenees or Andorra is a couple of hours away. Jane and Keith are now both retired from nursing and banking respectively and moved to the south of France some years ago to renovate an old watermill in a beautiful Catalan village in the Pyrenees foothills. We first got to know the Calella region in 1977 and fell in love with the atmosphere and beauty of that part of Spain to the extent that some years later we bought the flat as a holiday home. Our 3 children are all married and with our 6 grandchildren are all in the UK. They too love this area and spend as much time as possible with us. We frequently go to our flat near Windsor to visit them. We are both much involved in the life of our village with Keith recently elected as a councillor. Jane is an artist who regularly exhibits her work both locally and in Spain. Since finishing(!?) renovation at the Mill we have been able to enjoy travelling and apart from an around the world trip have visited both southern and East Africa and India. This is our first holiday exchange and we look forward to some new experiences. ![]()
