We live in a quiet residential area, away from the hustle and bustle known as Palm Mar. We have several restaurants a couple of bars and supermarkets, the sea within a few mins walk, and a golf course within 10 mins walk. Surrounded by the sea, a nature reserve and mountains we are just 15 mins from the airport and 10 mins (by car) from the southern resorts of Los Cristianos and Las americas. Southern Tenerife enjoys year round sunshine and is known as the island of eternal spring. The average temp. being around 26 degrees.Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and the closest to the sky. Mount Teide a majestic 3,718 metre volcano proudly shows its peak from many points on the island. If you like you can reach the summit which is covered in snow for part of the winter. Tenerife has almost 400 kilometres of beach bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. Away from the coast life goes on in a traditional way in the villages with any excuse for a fiesta. The biggest being the Santa Cruz carnival in Feb. Second only to Rio. The diversity of the island offers something for everyone.Distances are short and everything is close at hand. Excellent for walking/hiking, whale/dolphin watching, diving, windsurfing/kite surfing, golf or just relaxing on our balcony, with a good book, on a comfy sunbed sipping a cocktail, watching the little sailing boats with a slight breeze to keep you cool.

We are Bruce and Christine (61 and 58) married for 38 years with two adult married children and one grandson. We have had ten exchanges so far, and looking forward to our eleventh this summer. Some of them have been long term. We have enjoyed every one and hope to enjoy a lot more. Its a great way to travel. We like to look after our homes and are looking for like minded people to exchange with. We no longer have any pets, but are quite happy to look after yours.
