Description of our house
Our first home is in Vilanova, and we also have a county house in France, in central Brittany (which will be available for home exchanging from August 2008), and another second home in Torredembarra, which is described here and from which you can see the pictures. It is a comfortable apartment at only 200 metres from a sandy calm long beach, in a calm ancient town, ideal for families with children. It can host up to 6 people, being perfect for 4, as in that case there is no need for anybody to sleep in the sofa bed. The terrace has sea views and the apartment has all you can need to relax. It has electric radiators and ceiling-funs in all the rooms. There is a shared open-air swimming pool and parking. We can lend you books, films, toys or anything you may need for you to enjoy your stay. We can also lend you a toddler's bed. We may also exchange also our car, but you won't really need it to explore the area and to visit Barcelona, Tarragona or the theme park of Port Aventura, as cheap and comfortable trains and buses link them very well. There are also good train connections with Barcelona's airport and Reus airport, so you can look for low cost flights from Ryanair, Easyjet, Vueling, Air Berlin, etc. All the area is very safe. We can host you all year long, except for July and August, when we rent it and, as it's a second home, there is no need for a simultaneous exchange. We also rent it at preferential rates to home exchangers in case it's difficult to arrange an exchange

Our neighborhoodPasseig de Gracia street, the gorgeous cosmopolite very heart of the city of Barcelona (Gaudi, Picasso, the Olympic area, las Ramblas, Modernism) is at only 50 minutes by train (a 5 minute-walk from home), so it's the same time it will take you if living in a bad connected area inside Barcelona's city (and trains are very cheap and comfortable), the Theme Park of Port Aventura (www.portaventura.es) at less that 20 minutes by train or car, the roman world heritage city of Tarragona at only 10 minutes by train, etc. So our apartment is a good base from which you can visit many interesting places.
Torredembarra itself is a small fisherman town, with a lovely old town in a very peaceful area. It owns one of the few protected beaches in Catalonia, as birds use it for their bird migrations each spring and autumn. The golf club of Bonmont is at less than 20 minutes and it's an excellent area for fishing or sailing, as there is a marina and they rent windsurfs, etc.
There are lovely tapas bar and good restaurants (at a very low cost compared with most of the European cities we have been in) to taste the Mediterranean kitchen. The sunny weather helps you relax and invites enrolling in outdoor activities.
For the shoppers, Barcelona and Tarragona are two places you should not miss, with lots of shops of every kind from the top ones (Chanel, Armani, Loewe, etc) to the cheapest ones, popular street markets and big commercial centres easily accessible by underground/train.

Something about ourselvesWe are 4: Vicent teaches German in a school, Imma is a psychologist and works for an school too, leading a program to help teenagers that have failed into their studies, Marçal is a 8 year old boy very clever and sensitive, who likes very much reading and learning languages, and Arnau, 7, is very happy, funny and active. All of us LOVE travelling and are used to exchange homes, as we feel it's the best way to travel with kids.
We have exchanged our home +20 times. We are very respectful with other people's homes, as we know you will be with ours, and have only had many wonderful experiences . We will provide you with information about our area.
We are open to any offer, preferably in Europe at present, except for New York and China, but if you would like to know our area, just surprise us with your proposal. And we would like skiing again at Christmas 2009!.
As we work in the educational field, we have many holiday breaks and we use them to travel as much as we can, even for short breaks and long weekends. We are now looking for 2009 school holiday home exchanges in any big city in Europe, but one thing we have discovered from our experience is that you may never have a very concrete destination, we answer to all the offers and can keep the contact for future exchanges. We are also open for short breaks in Europe, specially in the south of France.
