Description of our house
We offer a charm and beautiful apartment in the center of Barcelona but in a quiet area.
Our home is a lovely and cosy penthouse, very sunny, with a nice swimming-pool (which we have direct access so it's a penthouse) on the building terrace/solarium.
The house contains everything you'll need for a comfortable stay including central heating, air-conditioning, one double bedroom, one single bedroom (1 small extra-bed could be added for a 4th sleep), complete kitchen and bathroom, bicycles, broadband internet access, living room with high screen TV with home cinema & DVD, stereo, cable and satellite channels...

Our neighborhoodOur neighbourhood in Barcelona (Sants) is quite central and very well connected with underground, bus and train. It is situated just 10-15 min. on foot from the Barcelona Football Stadium and Diagonal Avenue (one of the main shopping areas in Barcelona). Just 5 minutes to the "carrer de sants" the longest shopping and commercial street in Europe (4 km long). The area is also very well connected to 4 underground lines and buses (or even bicycle rail). Easy acces to all of Barcelona atractions has to offer.
The neighbourhood also gives the name to the biggest train and bus station of Barcelona, 15 min. from the house, and from where you can get on a easy daily trip all around the Catalan Coast (Costa Brava and Costa Daurada), golden sand beaches, historic romanic villages (Besalú,Rupit, Ripoll...), Cistercian monasteries of Poblet and Santes Creus, nature (Pyrenees), Dali's route, monumental Roman complex of Tarragona, theme parks (PortAventura) and many more.

Something about ourselvesWe (Vanessa and Alberto) are a professional couple: Vanessa is sales manager and me chemical engineer. We are non-smokers. Both enjoy travelling when able to get away.
We have done some swaps (all very succesfull). We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate and enjoy their stay in Spain.
Our prefered dates to travel are Christmas, Easter and August (from 2 days to 3 weeks depending on season) but we are flexible for small European breaks (from 2-5 days). Occassionally non-simultaneous swap or vacational rental could be possible.
Additional note: we have membership of the Barcelona Football Stadium, Barcelona Opera House (Liceu) and local health club, so if interested we could get discounted tickets.
