Description of our house
Our comfortable family home has 4 bedrooms - 3 double beds (master en suite), one single. There is a sitting room with fireplace and large open plan kitchen, dining and family room overlooking patio and garden. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a separate utility room. We have two downstairs toilets and a family bathroom upstairs. There is a separate study with computer access. The double garage stores bikes (4), gas barbeque and golf clubs which you can use. Car exchange. Also possible exchange/use of 2 bed apartment in Edinburgh.

Our neighborhoodWe live in a quiet suburb of St Andrews. You can easily walk or cycle to town or beach and there is a pretty walk way there by the stream from the end of the road. St Andrews is famous for its golf courses(6 in addition to the Old Course) and you can use our clubs if you want. However it is also a lovely old university town with a cinema and theatre, ruined castle, harbour, 3 beaches and parks. Edinburgh is 60 miles away, where we have an apartment which you may be able to use or exchange to experience all the attractions of Scotland's capital city. The Highlands are an easy 2-3 hour drive north. The city of Dundee is 12 miles away and offers good shopping and entertainment facilities as well as a variety of tourist attractions.

Something about ourselvesJohn and I work in education (university and college). We enjoy a variety of sports and other activities, including golf, cycling and skiing. Our son and daughter are at university, although it is possible one or other may join us for part of any vacation.
We are looking for an extended vacation in February and March to mark John's move into retirement and would love spend the time in Arizona or close.
