This is our second home, where we spend our summer holidays. As beach house, it's very comfortable, with a lot of space, including a living room with dinner table and 2 sofas, 2 bedrooms and 2 complete bathrooms, an all equipped kitchen (not a kitchenette) and a small balcony where you can eat. It's really nearest to the beach, we use to walk 5 minutes with our young kids.

Our apartment is on a second floor and there's a small and quiet shopping mall on the ground floor, with supermarket, coffee-shops, several restaurants, newspapers and beach shops. In fact, we use to stay 1 week without have to drive our car. On the other side of the street there's the well known Açoteias athletic center, with an all range of training facilities, cross track, gymnasium, tennis, etc. You can find athletes from North of Europe training all year, due to the nice weather of Algarve. It's only 10 minutes by car from Vilamoura Marina, with excellent restaurants and shops and several golf courses. Faro International Airport is 30 minutes by car, and is less than 3 hours flight from most European capitals. An increasing number of airlines offer direct flights to Faro, including low-costs. We are Teresa and Nuno, a married couple with 3 children, Joana (7), Simão (5) and Xavier (1). We're in mid 30s and live on a small country village near Lisbon, where we work. We use to travel, but since we're parents it's not so easy. We've decided to buy this apartment in Algarve a few years ago to spend a good time with all family on the beach, on our holidays and sunny weekends also (it's a 3 hours travel). As our children are growing up too fast, we would like to start traveling more often, with them and also alone.
