Our home is a Scandinavian style, two bedroom apartment, with an open space that consists of a kitchen with all amenities, a living room and a dining room space. The bathroom has a spacious shower and a washing machine.
One of the bedrooms is a master bedroom with a cot for a small child. The other is a children's room that sleeps two. The beds are full length so older kids can also sleep there.
The house belongs to a Scandinavian style "garden city" with a very spacious backyard with tall trees, benches and tables, barbecue grills and a playground for children. It is an extremely pleasant place to spend time during the summer. Our home is very well situated in a calm neighborhood just minutes away from nice cafés and a lovely shopping area. There are several supermarkets nearby and public transportation (the best way to travel in Oslo) takes you to the city center in less than 15 minutes.
There is a 10 minutes bus drive to a wonderful artistic public park with outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, museums, cafés and a terrific playground for children.
Oslo is a vibrant city that has a lot to offer. Its position by the Oslo Bay offers beach life and relaxation by the seaside. There are multiple options when it comes to boat trips for sightseeing and transportation to nearby islands and exquisite nature.
For visitors interested in seeing more of the Nordic countries, the Swedish border is only an hour and a half away by car and Denmark is a night time ferry ride away. Furthermore, Norway has many attractions reachable by car or by domestic flights. Our home is very well situated in a calm neighborhood just minutes away from nice cafés and a lovely shopping area.
