My home here in Northern Ireland is modern (built in just 2009), tastefully decorated, cozy, clean and well cared for. The bright kitchen and dining area has tiled floors has French doors leading to a peaceful garden. The living room has wooden flooring and sleek leather sofa, recliner chair and flat screen TV. Upstairs the slanted roof and skylight windows give a cozy attic feel. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with built-in wardrobes. (1 room I currently use for work but could easily put a camp-bed in for children to sleep in, its a large room). The bathroom has a bathtub and separate power shower cubicle, there is also a WC downstairs.
My home is situated in a small cul-de-sac with just 10 homes therefore is very quiet and peaceful whilst being just minutes away from a variety of shops and a busy town. My home is an ideal base for touring the whole of Ireland. The train station is just 10 mins walk with regular trains taking you all over the country. Belfast just 30mins away and Dublin just 90mins by train. Trains will also take you to the North Coast of Antrim (Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle) in 90mins as well as the City of Derry.
Belfast, the closest City has everything a great European city offers with a Grand Opera House, Museums, Concert arenas, fine dining, eclectic cafes and shops, quaint pubs and traditional Irish food, music and culture. Don't miss the big Belfast bus tour giving an interesting history of the changing times in Belfast.
The location of my home couldn't be more perfect! It is in a quiet and small development of houses however just 5 mins walk you will find an array of shops, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, fast food outlets and shopping malls.
And for those outdoors types there are many beautiful parks (one situated just across the road from my home). Lough Neagh is close by and a short walk will take you to Lakes which are beautiful to walk around, and also offer a range of watersport activities, you can also hire bicycles here and cycle all around the lakes and cycle paths and trails. The Mourne Mountains are 60mins away for those more serious hikers and there are golf courses and swimming complexes nearby.
